It begins at Aquila High School. Founded by Genevieve Aquila, this school holds many students.
And a secret...
It starts at the end of term. Students have been living in the campus, located on Mount Desert Island, Maine. They have been completely isolated from the rest of the world. As of late, strange things have been happening. Things they never would have expected, along with strange abilities... And then comes the barrier. It encircles the entire island, along with some small surrounding islands. Everyone is gone but the students of Aquila. The abilities, students realize, are beyond human, but not like superheroes in comics. And they are becoming more severe.
How will they escape?
What is the meaning of their abilities?
Who did this? And why?

NO SWEARING! PERIOD! This includes taking the name of the Lord in vain. Swear symbols (%$#@!) Are allowed, but no taking the first letter of a swear and dashing out the rest.
No perfect characters.
Understand this: That every character will suffer. Some will die. I will spare your favorite. My characters will suffer as much or more than yours and I have already planned to kill one.
You can have as many characters as you want, but play them once a week. (Unless you can't play at all for over a week.)
You can have 3 powers. A 4th is allowed as long as it has nothing to do with combat.
The powers have to be based off of animals or come from playing with the human anatomy. So no teleportation, flight, super strength, etc. And they have to still look human.
Romance is allowed, but it has to be realistic. No love-at-first-sight. And don't go overboard with it.
Fighting is allowed in the RP; again, it is to be kept realistic.
No fighting for real. And no drama ("I'll leave if you do that!").
No playing other people's characters.
No one-liners. (I'm not saying War and Peace for every post, but try for something interesting.)

He picks fights, and does NOT stand bullying.
History: his parents were missionaries in namibia. When he was 10, rebel soldiers came through, slaughtering all the women and children, taking the men to work to death in the diamond mines. he watched his family be murdered in front of him, wrecking havoc on his mental health. He thinks it was his fault, because he had seen the soldiers coming but did not warn anyone because they were dressed as traders.
