Now if you start to wink back that may be a problem:)

Just for curiosity's sake how old do the roos have to be?? My salmon fav. Roo is 7 months old and pestering the girls , all be it more of a bother to them than anything else, what age could this be done? I guess my guestion is at what age does a Roo become able to fertilize eggs?? I know it seems like a dumb question but if I don't ask them I never get answers. LOL Thanks Sandy

Oh good heavens I am sitting here with my hand over my mouth trying not to laugh or gag. You are all SO FUNNY!!!

Katy girl...come on we can do it

(sorry laughing hysterically now) we can....

You clean Dorries butt and I will cheer you on. No just kidding. We can do this if Adam doesn't!

I think something like this in invaluable! (Oh gosh Katy, now you have me doubled over laughing over the visuals!!) Yep them are big birds!!

Hey-- your inbox is full and I can't pm you.

Sorry I was too busy poking fun at Katy... A Roo is fertile usually around 25 weeks or so. His comb and wattle will turn bright red and he will start to crow. If you see him making moves on any hens in stalking distance--he is ready.

Okay, so my question to this is when are the pullets ready? My pullets are 7 months old but haven't laid the first egg. I have a rooster who's a couple months older and is trying to breed everything he can catch. Will this hurt the pullets since they aren't laying yet?

I have tried a few times and cant get it right. I am going to give my birds a while longer and try again in spring. My problem is I have a bantam roo over a huge brahma so i think he is unable to mount her.

I think I will try the spoon as the pippet was difficult.
