Gentlest heavy breed(s)?

I have a mixed flock, too, and everyone gets along just fine.

Well I decided i just wanna get one breed so I don't have any hybrids. I'm debating between Rouen and welsh but then there's always Cayuga and I don't know what to get

Flip a coin? If you're going for egg production, Welsh Harlequins are probably the ones you want out of those three. They'd make good pets, too. If you're looking for meat ducks, Rouen are probably the way to go out of those three. If you want a mixed purpose duck, flip a coin or go with the one you think is the prettiest.

Ugh what's the best pet out of those three breeds?!

I have Rouen, Muscovy, and Pekin ducks.

I like the Pekin ducks the best.. they are calm.. slow.. and very friendly to people. Not noticed that they are more noisy than other ducks.

The Rouen are nice.. but they are a bit scared of people.. and more 'flighty'. Some of my females quack loudly a lot and get all the others going.. usually in the middle of the night!

My Muscovy are great... but the males can be really nasty with each other... and also chase the females a lot. Some people say they even attack people.. but mine have not show aggression to me.

I would say the female Muscovy ducks are the most gently and quiet and like being petted. They also make the best mothers. But if you want to breed you ducks you will get the males too.. which I don't really think are friendly!

So, in your case, I would suggest the Pekin Ducks.

I have three ducks...an Indian Runner, Khaki Campbell, and a Magpie mix. My Runner is the loudest, hands down. lol He quacks all the time, and always mumbles to himself. It's adorable! But my other two only quack when they are freaked out; otherwise they just mumble. But, the noise here wasn't a factor for us as live out in the country, and many most of the people that live in my area have pets, poultry and livestock. Oh and my Khaki Campbell is the heaviest, then the Magpie, and lastly the Runner.

So do you recommend the khaki?

Well
So do you recommend the khaki?

Well, I am relatively new to ducks, myself, but I do love my Khaki Campbell. He has beautiful colors, and is the biggest and quietest duck of the three.

Here you can see all three. You can tell really well in the first pic how much more slender my Indian Runner is, and the Campbell is heaviest when I hold them all.
