oh I politely disagree. I would pay a small fee for a booth and I know most people would, if it's a reasonable fee such as $5-$10. You can't get a booth anywhere to sell your stuff w/out some fee and one that small is very unusual. If you do it for free you may get lots of things you don't want. I would definitely at least make some specifications about what could be brought and sold. You will have salesmen setting up table to try to push their stuff on people and then you will have some that will try to do "consignment" tables or what I call, "yard sale" tables. I've set up vendor stuff before for our school carnivals and such and this is what usually happens.
It wouldn't scare any reputable person away that has something good to offer.
I'm assuming since we will have all of these things that there is going to be cost to put this forward? That is why I suggested it to cover any costs. I'm sure Tractor Supply would have already mentioned this too but I imagine any ride or type of attraction per say would have to be insured or licensed also for liability and safety reasons. If they haven't mentioned it, I would ask them what any specifications like that would be.
I've done a lot of events for the school and arthritis foundation and for the Autism exchange/Walk for Autism. These are just some things that I have run into in planning.
I do agree in keeping it free to the people coming to enjoy the event at least for the first time or two just to get them in. (though there is probably enough of us that will pack the place out anyway! lol!)
