Statham GA here...excited about my new venture. I have baby chicks in my game room right now, buying a small coop (probably from TSC???) while we work on the building a bigger backyard coop. I have Isa Browns, Buff Orphingtons and leghorns. Wanted to do this for a long time and finally just jumped off... Learning as I go. ANY advice would be greatly appreciated.

We've decided to convert our son's old tree house we set on the ground. But for the run we will have to completely fence off a roof. We have coyotes around us so we have to completely encase the girls.

Hi all! We are just east of Macon, GA and have had chickens for a little more than two years now. We started with four Red Stars and just this spring added a year-old Buff Orpington/Aracauna mix rosster and are raising some Buff Orpington & Silver Laced Wyandotte chicks to increase our flock. Our goal is to eventually have a dual-purpose flock so that we produce our own eggs & meat. It's nice to see so many other GA folks here!
