I have a bunch of boxes of never opened Gerber infant cereal (rice, oatmeal) for babies. It is the dry kind you mix with water. My little boy never ate it and now he is too old for it, he'd probably think I'd lost my mind if I tried feeding it to him now. I hate to waste it... would it be okay to feed it to the chickens? Should I feed it dry or wet, or not at all? Or I can just feed it to the dogs(?)
Thanks in advance! And Happy Thanksgiving!

I keep some around for newly hatched chicks that are a little slow. I mix it with warm water and a drop of polyvisol vitamins and feed it with a dropper.

My only question would be if it was the kind that is fortified with iron? I wouldn't use it if it was, but I'm not a big expert on baby cereals, having never used them with my kids.
