Ummmmm....... It's tempting. Anything to be more self-sufficient but I may wait for the end of the world before getting proficient at it.

It is a very easy skill to learn and a very valuable one to have hidden in your bag of tricks. You can spin animal and plant fibers.

That would be a valuable tool to have in my bag, or manapron as the case may be.

At the rabbit shows I attend we always have someone spinning angora. Kyle there with his angoras and he also spins when not busy with showing his rabbits.

did she know what percentage of German Angora he has in him? or is he a german hybrid crossed with another breed of angora? Just curious, the higher the german angora percentage in a german hybrid, the better quality of wool. THe german angoras are hard to find here, plus they would be very expensive, but the hybrids are a little easier on the pocketbook!

I am certain she told me 80% german. I have emailed her a couple times and am waiting for her to send the documents she has on him.

Oh bummer. I can't find any in my area. I don't want to have to pay to have them flown to me. I am at the point of getting into a different breed. Which would be a huge bummer as i wouldn't get the fiber.
