Those types of chick feeders I screw to a 5 gallon bucket lid. Makes them more stable. Also helps catch the feed they bill out.
That's a very good idea. Thank you for it.
I used the chick feeder because it was the only container I had available. When I closed up the coop and made sure the electric fence was on at dusk she'd knocked over the water but the chick feeder was still upright. No guarantees of it's status by morning though.
She's safe out there in the wire cage inside the electric fence, but she's not happy about it.
