I am sure he will have a wonderful last few years with you.

Hi! I just had to log in and say how much I love my Dane. She's so friendly and good with kids, if a little overactive for a 95 lb dog. I feed her Blue Buffalo, as do many of the owners in my local dane rescue. There is something more human about danes than most other breeds of dog, in my experience. She was the easiest dog that I've ever had the joy of training, and does very well with praise as a motivator. (I started out with food, but the anticipatory drool was like a hose,

) If you have any questions regarding the breed, the Great Dane Rescue of North Texas (danerescue.net) has a forum full of owners willing to help out and dote on your new rescue no matter where you live. Speaking of which, where are the pictures?!?

I have a Dane. He was 7 years old in November. I feed him Holistic Select (formerly known as Eagle Pack) Lamb and Rice. He has a sensitive stomach. He has done great on this food. Good luck with your dane. They are the best. Here are some pics of Seamus.
