Getting a little nervous.

I'm awake, I had to make my morning rounds with my chickens in the coop. Well, I have to say no change. My wife tends to be more positive than me, but I think we might be losing this hatch. I did forget to mention these are mail order eggs. My wife claims to see movement in the eggs, but I'm not seeing anything anymore. The crack has not changed size. Although, this is day 20 so maybe today will bring a change. I will update as I get more information.

It might be time to help, if it isn't too late.

That is what I'm telling the wife. Probably will start aiding in delivery very soon. I'm going to start by poking little pin holes to assist.
I believe it is time.
Don't pay attention to the date...meaning it doesn't matter that today is day 21.
This egg started to pip the other day right?
This egg may have been sitting in a warmer spot in the bator and developed faster.
It pipped because it is ready to get out.
I hope you are able to save it.

READ that assisting article posted above.
You have to be very careful and watch/STOP if you see blood.

A noon update. There is for sure a live chicken in the egg. The egg is really moving a lot now, especially when it hears us talking. Seems to like music, which doesn't surprise me. My daughter is a cheerleader and she is constantly playing music and dancing. We have a parrot named Kiwi and it dances right along with her and pecks it beak on the gage to the beat. We are on day 20. Will update with new activity. I have been away today since I'm outside mowing. My chickens love it when I mow because I throw them fresh cut grass into their coop and they chow down. Yesterday was watermelon day for my girls. I have two Rhode Island reds, two Plymouth Rocks, 4 Americauna's, 2 Sultons, and 3 Silkies. Weird thing is, my silkies do not like the watermelon. Their a lot like their daddy, I don't like watermelon.

That's great news. I'm glad to hear it's still moving!

I'm at a loss of words, going into day 21. And the egg is still moving around, Although we half seen a little beak pushing at the crack. This baby just doesn't want to come out. I'm rolling the dice on this one and see what happens tomorrow day 21. If no success, its time to pull out the ole salad spoons and forceps and help baby come out. I believe I'm going to name this one "Rock And Roll" since that is what it's been doing for about 48 hours.
