my flock is out of balance. i have too few hens for rooster charlie & he's wearing them kinda thin. besides this, i want a broody hen - & so far none of my four act like their going to get er done.
this hen lives at the neighbor's place. she lives by herself (so sad). all her flock mates have been killed by coyotes.
the man says she has set on her non fertile eggs a long time.
it sounds like she's a buff orp (which is great w/me).
tomorrow, i'm going to rig up a temp pen inside the run. give her some time to get used to my chickie family & give them time to get used to her (i hope).
i can't wait to bring her home & give her a happy new life.

Sounds like a perfect match! Good luck!
