So were getting two outdoor kittens .....for mouse/rodent control ...after they get fixed ,shots etc.....any suggestions on how to care for them ....Growing up we had outdoor cats ...many moons ago ....but in my adult life I have always had an indoor cat ..I am a city slicker transplanted in the country ...hubby's the country boy and doesnt really care :/we do have an indoor cat and he is king of the roost in the house...so these kittens cannot come inside ...well maybe on a very cold night I could sneak them downstairs somewhere .....

There about 10 weeks old now .Should I confine them for awhile outside ? What about feeding them ?..Dry food and wet ? .Provide water dishes also?......right now there outdoor farm cats....that have alot of attention from humans ...and there eating kitten food ...
Any suggestions would be great.....thanks

We got Kitty when she was three weeks old. We confined her outside for awhile till she learned that this was home.
Ask what the kittens are eating now. Quick changes in food could cause gastic distress.
Always provide clean water.
Good luck!
ETA: When Kitty had her spay surgery we moved her inside for a week to discourage climbing and romping that could have torn her incision.

We dont have a barn or an open run in shed.....but I was thinking of putting another chicken pop door on the chicken coop ....on the side where the hens cannot go ...where the feed is located ...should i supply a litter tray once there past confinment....I thought of just putting a big carrier on the inside for them to sleep in and get out of the elements ...I was thinking I dont want a coon to get into the inside of the coop ? ..so if its just the cat carrier I dont see a problem ...and I'll just hook up a rabbit feeder for there dry food ...and supply a water dish outside ...what do you think?

I think that would work. You might want to provide a litter tray until it is no longer confined.
