Getting A Puppy!

Congrats!
Do you have everything ready? I recommend having everything setup about a week before, but get everything eailer to be sure you have time.
I also recommend watching Zak George's dog training Revolution. Lots of great videos.
Dont let her have access to the whole house. This is very important.
Limit her to one puppy proofed room.
This way she cant get into anything and you can watch her the whole time.
And dont train her to go on puppy pads. Take her straight outside.
Puppy pads are inside and feel like a blanket. And transitioning to outside is hard.

And ve sure to train her a lot when shes young! At least 5 mins of training a day. The most important things to teach as a puppy is her name, sit, stay, come, and leave it.
When teaching her leave it, NEVER say tell her to leave a toy of food. Anything that you intent for her to touch, you should not tell her to leave. Otherwise, she will think it's okay to later touch thing you told her to leave.
Then, she could hurt herself. If you tell her to leave a pill that dropped, or a chicken, or harmful food, she'll think it's fine to later eat it.

And socialisation is so so important!! Let her meet lots of dogs, of all sizes and colors. Its cant be the same few dogs too.
Take her to Petco, they have puppy playtime on the weekends.
They also have amazing classes. Very helpful, even for someone who spends lots of time training.

Good luck!!

Thank you so much for the advice! At first, I was just planning on getting her some stuff before we get her but that is all.
I will follow everything that you said, thank you so much!

Oh. I just remembered a roadblock. My neighbor on the other side of the road has a mouthy pitbull. My past dog once got attacked by him when he peed on their tree. Don't worry, nothing too bad. He is more talk than bite. He will bark at you from the other side of the road and pace by the road. Never crosses it.
Would socializing them together help? How do I socialize them? The angry boy plays with a silver lab pup, a pitbull pup, a few labs, and a Newfoundland.
Whenever you go on their yard, he will run up to you and bark nothing more.
Or should I train her to stay away from him and how do I do it? My past dog stayed away from him because they were both boys with their own territories.
