Getting a Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy! Pics!

My grandpa had one and when he moved out he left it with my grandma. His name was Rusty and he was a REALLY good dog!!! He was smart and a good guard dog, and respectful towards my grandma's leadership and just a good dog to keep around. (He sure was a better dog than the tiny dog that my grandma has now)
In Arkansas we sometimes call them Razorback dogs

I like them and your pup is sooooooooooooo cute!!!!!

Thanks everyone. Don't worry about chickens, no one here keeps them except my DBF & he has 90 000 so the dog will be really good with them cause she will be at work with him everyday from 6 weeks old-not that she could ever get near them anyway. My girls are on a different farm where I work. Also I'm going to get an invisible fence for him so she will stay at his work cause I don't want another tragedy like last time (dog ate "removed" jackal poison that was at the dairy across from his work.)

I forgot how cute they are when they are they young. Be sure to socialize her. I could never get my wife or kids to take my girl to the park to met other people and dogs while I was a work so she is a little shy. I have four RIR chickens in the same yard as my Ridgeback. Only had a problem once when she got in the coup to get the food I gave the chickens. Ridgebacks are very food driven so watch what you leave on the table and counters. Luckily they are very smart so they learn quickly that chicken are part of the family and not to be chased like the rabbits in the park. I don't have any pictures of her and the chickens. I guess next time she's outside asleep and the chickens are walking around her eating I'll get the camera. I do have pictures of her and my baby girl.
