Getting chickens in moderation

Maybe buy 3 hens and 3 chicks? I get about 2 dozen eggs from 6 hens, 2 are Buff Orpingtons, the rest are RIR or mutts. My BO's lay huge eggs too, and one is a double yoke layer so I count that as two when I cook

Hahahaha......moderation..............what does that word mean?
I had 7 chicks on a Wednesday(March 19th).......by Friday I had 15. Now I have 27 and am a little embarrassed. 27 chickens in less than one month! At least I didn't buy them all the same day........I staggered it over a month......so that it would be in MODERATION! ahahahahaah

Since the moderators here encourage clean environments in the forum and with the chickens so that we can have all we want, then moderation means lots of chickens in a clean and healthy environment.

That's how I understood it anyway!
