Getting Closer

I am new to BYC, what a great site full of valuable information. I was raised on a small farm where we always had chickens, but have not had chickens since I joined the Marine Corps 16 years ago. Now that I am getting closer to retiring we have started putting some roots down and will be getting our chickens on April 14th.

Welcome to our community! I hope you have something at least started for your coop. It's a common mistake to get the chicks then start thinking about a coop. You will want them in it before you know it!

Yes we have the coop started. The corners are set and the roof is framed. It will be 12x12 with nest accessible from the outside.
