Getting electricity for barn!

I'm a retired electrician and not up to date on codes (or wiring barns.) I know you can't have enough outlets or light near a work bench area. If your being 'inspected' though they usually charge by the outlet. There may also be minimum spacing for outlets.
I agree on the GFCI. It used to be you could get GFCI breakers. That may be simpler still.

As for me, a socket on the ceiling is a perfect solution for a barn or barn.
Plus, you can connect an LED lamp to the socket on the top. And, of course, all sockets must-have outdoor covered bases. My friend recently also decided to run electricity in his barn, but he did not know how to do it right. Therefore, a friend read the Internet about what to do and came across the site https://www.electricianclasses.com/how-to-find-work-as-an-electrician/. And there he read that it is best to hold sockets on the ceiling, which was very convenient and practical.
