Getting geese for first time in spring

All good info. We collect rain water in the summer in 55 gallon barrels. We plan on getting one set to direct feed into a pooled area. Water shouldn’t be an issue! Also will have plenty of shelter; already have a coop that we will use for them. I also bought a book “keeping geese” for all the basics. I’m really excited!

I have a pair of geese on pre-order as well and I was wondering if it would be wise to have them in a separate house from my ducks? They’ll be sharing a run/free range together.

All of mine are sleeping in the same house during these very frigid temps but they all have their own houses, my geese and my Muscovy's cannot sleep in the same house during breeding season. My gander and my drake are not friends at all. They all free range together though.

Ended up with two pilgrims and they’re doing wonderfully. I officially love them more than my chickens! They eat the dandelions and dont scratch up my flower beds!

Also funny enough even tho they are still babes, they chased off our rooster when he was being obnoxious. It was great!

How do you add to geese safely? I know the ropes with chickens; tho looking for pointers with the geese ☺️
