Getting Goat kids

Do understand that I like having a a cockerel or rooster to protect the girls warn them..
My young rooster just a year will not let the cockerel marans a moments peace
going to put Red in a tractor I have that is safe for silkie .. Let him sit in a week maybe two
maybe cool his jets a bit

You can get an electric fencer, and fencing, and insulators for under a 100 bucks usually. It's the on thing that will contain most goats.
Really? Well my friends laughed when I mentioned that. A goat jumps like a deer so how many wires do I need? She leaps like a ballerina over the fence. 10 feet she jumps

You run one strand at about shoulder height. Set up the situation so they go up to explore and they get a good zap. Tie some cotton rag flags on the fence. Generally they won't get near it again unless it's off. The only jumpers I had was one wild big dairy wether.

I kept my pygmy and Nigerian dwarf herd contained solely by electric fencing for decades. 2 strands. Eventually we added welded wire with a single strand of electric to keep them off and away from the fence. For jumpers you run a strand at the top of the fence. Without the electric goats can and will climb, or push under a fence. They do continue to check your work throughout their lives.

I told you goats are hard to contain. :) Once you get it figured out it's easy.

How does your friend keep her goats in?
