My Emu eggs came in the mail today!!! :celebrate

The eggs are huge!

The tan egg in the middle is a LF Buff Orpington egg.

I got the Genesis Hovabator running at 97 degrees, how long should I wait before putting the eggs in? The humidity is at 20 percent, is that ok? How often should I weigh them?

Thanks for any help. So excited!!

Thanks, I had set my eggs on the 15th at 4 pm.

I had borrowed a digital scale from a neighbor, it does lb, oz, and grams!

Egg D- 604 grams

Egg E- 630 grams

Ooh, can't wait until 48 days are over!

Thank you much.

you can also buy them directly from Kalaya Emu Estate (where many of us have gotten eggs).. they sell on ebay and also here: http://www.kalayaemuestate.com/catalog_i13009636.html

for shipped eggs it seems to be better that the closer they are to you the better success rate you'll get for hatching
