Getting more chicks!

I was talking to my dad after he got home from the feed store today and he says he's been eyeing the chicks a lot here lately. I think I have everyone thinking chickens since I decided I wanted to raise them. We've had chickens for years, but a week or more ago I started talking about raising them for eggs and meat. Right now we have game chickens, but I had wanted to get some doms. I remember that they are good layers because my grandmother used to raise them. My dad made a deal with me, anything but doms.

So I'm thinking about RIRs. Well dad has decided that he wants to get a few Americana chicks and soon.

I've started chicken mania around here. Of course, my mom doesn't care what we do so long as we keep any and all birds away from her because she's scared of all birds.

Good luck,we just ordred Barred Rocks another dual purpose bird,but don't know if I can kill them yet.Never killed anything,but I eat meat so guess I need to get use to it soner or later.

My game chickens are just... not tame pets.

The way I see it, it's cheaper to do it this way.
