It's not a high off the ground, but there are two different level of roost in the coop. One is the same size of board, the other is a wider two by four.

Sorry for all the questions, without an interior picture it is hard to picture, everyone has different setups.It's not a high off the ground, but there are two different level of roost in the coop. One is the same size of board, the other is a wider two by four.
I should add that roosts in the coop should be at least 18" apart from each other.
Are the roost up by the window?It looks like, I will be moving some nesting boxes tomorrow.
Cold no problem, heat much more of a problem. My opinion they know what is best, show them a couple of times then leave them alone.No, we don't have a porch light on. I started putting a light in the coop. Hoping the would attract them. Yes, they all like being on the roost, but again with the cold, I was concerned. I heard they a night blind, which is why I started running the light in the coop.
