Getting new ducks

I had two male Pekin ducks a year old and one killed the other two nights ago. They have always picked on each other but the one got his head stuck in their gate overnight and the other one took advantage of him not being able to move. If I get new duck chicks, how old should they be before I try to introduce them to each other? I don’t want any more males but I’m hoping to find two females.
