Getting Pair of Exhibtion Rouens Tomorrow!!!

Hi All

First post for me and all the way from Suffolk in England

Been hoping to find exhibition Rouens for a little while and hoping to get a pair from a top UK exhibitor. His Rouen took Best of Breed at the BWA National Show last year and been promised exhibtion quality pair. Hoping they'll settle quick and produce some eggs so I can startour own flock. Heard the exhibtion type have low fertility so will just have to ensure good conditions.

Got a lovely natural pond for them and then today a pair of wild mallards have flown in

Really hope they dont stay as dont want the Mallard mating the new Rouen

Rouens are much bigger than mallards. I don't think your male Rouen would allow any competition.

Wow. Got our pair of Rouens and very pleased with them

Female's mother won best of breed at our National Show last year and the good looks and type appear to have been passed on. Only last years birds so need more time to develop but already the female has a lovely keel developing.

Hopefully we can have a go at showing her later in the year

Very nice. Over all very good. IMO i wish that there keels were touching the ground.
