Getting pullets to gain weight

Once the infection goes away she should gain weight. Infections really take a lot of their energy and yeast infections can be very uncomfortable and affect her routine. If she also has worms, that is a major cause for under weight birds. I would go with high protein, give her a hard boiled egg once in a while too. Not raw. I would give her table scraps that are veggies. Mashed potatoes are a huge hit with my chickens. I don't give mine any meat scraps. Good luck.

Thank you!

Go to the feed store and get a small bag of chick crumble. Stick to chicken feed bc it is formulated for them. Chickens will gobble up chick feed over regular pellets. If too messy, then mix it with water to oatmeal or batter consistency then, if you want to give her a “treat” sprinkle a bit of scratch on top or a few seeds, a few mealworms or crumbled boiled egg.

if she isunderweight, she hasn’t been eating enough. The best thing for her is to give proper nutrtion and chick crumble, or all-flock, or layer bc it is formulated for chickens to get proper nutrition.

hope she gets better quickly
