I go away for a few days and everything stays crazy. That is a good sign.

We are currently just east of Kansas City.

Yellowstone and the Tetons were awesome. We camped out at Yellowstone and woke up to frost, and that was after a day with sun, rain, and sleet. Thursday was the Tetons and driving across Wyoming.

Skipped Rocky Mountain National Park and talking with people where I had applied for a job. Ran out of time.

Spent last night in Colorado Springs at my daughter's place. Rain all day today.

Our little camera decided it doesn't want to work right. Had to use the big camera. Photos at another time.

Too tired to think coherently.

Welcome back Dac.

Sounds like an adventure!

Blueys 2 teenagers brought home babies...did you see that thread yet?

gotta go comment about that dac...or i won't be able to rest.

It's picture time. It was a dreary day at Yellowstone so the colors didn't come out well.

Jenny Lake with the mountains in the background. This was a special spot for my wife. She had visited here 39 years ago during a family trip that has gone down as a legend in family history.

A legend, huh?

Sounds like there's a story behind that...

I love the buffalo--actually, I guess their technically called bison. Buffalo have the different horns, I was noticing in a recent museum trip. Bison are the ones you have pictured--which i normally think of as buffalo.

My dad's nickname was buffalo. We had buffalo's everywhere...figures, blankets, a jar of buffalo farts, his license plates, and even engraved on his headstone---though the person that did it, made it look like a little kid drew it and it's tail is up, which signifies it's ready to fight...but my mom was too embarrased to make them change it. Gosh, she's a push over. Needless to say...we all laughed and went, oh well, dad would think it was funny. My girls like it, at any rate.

And I see you are wearing some whacky t-shirt in that pic dac.

And I love the pics of the lower falls. Could sit there and stare all day.

Welcome home by the way. And how's your birds?

me,
g

The birds seem to be OK. I have to take a close look at them and do some pest control. I think there are mites in the coop, not too bad though, and I think a few of the birds have some sort of respiratory problem.

Got 47 birds. We think they are all there.

My T-shirt is from a store in Eagar, AZ called the Speckled Trout. The store is a fly-fishing/gift store. It has a bunch of dogs on it that are hiking.
