Thanks to all the great advice here, including advice about how to dispatch of the cockerels. I found someone to pick up the three birds.

Thank you community!! I hope in the future I’m able to be helpful to others in need.

In future, I’ll be procuring pullets rather than chicks and adding them to the flock patiently and judiciously.

I would be concerned that anyone who takes three roosters has a cock fighting ring, but I'm also uber paranoid.
Thank you for expanding on this. I was thinking that the person wanted the meat. My blue seal chicken person told me that roosters are sometimes used for dog food too.
I think it’s wiser to be paranoid about that aspect of a rooster’s fate. I refuse to be part of some sociopath/psychopath’s way of getting their rocks off. Whether it’s illegal or not, fighting animals is inhumane.

I really appreciate folks helping recognize that reality.

Thank you.

True, but not your responsibility. Once they are someone else's roosters, they are their roosters to do with as you like. To me, there is the person fighting the birds who is at fault.

If you knew that is where they were going, but if you give birds in good faith, no need to make them feel guilty about what is already a hard decision.

I am getting rid of two today, if I catch the begger, but I am pretty sure they are going to feed a family and be the rooster. Works for me.

If you do know of a fighting ring, do report it to the police. That would be more effective.
