Getting rid of roosters

I'm in the same situation. I have at least three 12-week old cockerels. I'll give them another month, then into the freezer with them. But I pay a Mennonite lady $2/ head to process mine. She does a great job. My arthritic hands are not up to it ETA and I did not learn how when I was young.

Also try Facebook Marketplace. I usually use local classifieds to get rid of cockerels with great success. If I want them gone really fast I advertise them for free.

Hey, that's a pipe cutter to me.

In the suburbs knowing there would not be takers for my BYM rooster I gave the boyscouts troop him to do the deed. I did not see it, I did not hear about it, and when i asked, they used his remains as fertilizer under a fig tree I gave them. That's just a last option, of course. I hope he can find a home instead.
