I introduced myself a while back, and I have officially started my countdown for my new chicken coop (being built next month for my 40th bday!) I have decided to get started pullets - 2 Buff Orpingtons and 2 Black Australorps. Thinking of using McMurray Hatchery. Name ideas so far:
RG4 for one of the Lorps (my husband is a huge Redskins fan and RG3 is his idol :)
Buffy for one of the Orps
Henny Penny for the other Orp
(my son is having a hard time coming up with an appropriate name for his Lorp...9 yrs and their potty humor with everything....sigh)

So for now, I am looking for feedback on McMurray and folks that have started out with started pullets. We are having a really mild winter here in NC, so I am hoping to get some chickens soon after my coop is built!

! Great to have you with us! I can't speak to ordering established hens but I have always had success with Murray McMurray. I wish you all the luck!
