Getting testing done next week!

If my understanding is correct, the testing is all that is required for selling birds within state borders. If you want to sell elsewhere you might have to go full NPIP.

Not entirely sure---US rules are weird.
That's what I thought too. It will be a small backyard operation. So, that is definitely a dream one day. But, for now it will be just to stay on code and sell what we don't use. I only have like 7 hens currently, 3 duck hens, 2 drakes, and 2 roosters with a few on the way. I appreciate your answers.

Anyone can get NPIP certified in Texas...its as simple and a PT test.
AND you are allowed to ship out of state with just the PT test.
Shipping out of state is USDA rules...NPIP...

To sell from your farm you do not need to be NPIP....but to sell birds under 5 months you must be NPIP at swaps or public sales.

Nice and you aren't too far from me. Texas seems really lax compared to alot of places.
