When I started college, the first (mandatory for all new students) course I took was called Strategies For Success. Boy, that was a great class....all centered around
choices / consequences, problem ownership, and personal responsibility. Best course I took, ever!! I walked away from it with a sense of feeling that EVERY incoming freshman in HS should be required too take this course!!

Some of the things I find while I cruise the net instead of watching basketball on TV

The Little Bustard Tetrax tarda Is a declining bird in Europe and a very rare vagrant to the UK. The French name for this species translates as "Farting Chicken", which seems quite appropriate when you hear them calling.

Maybe I will get some T Shirts made for the “save the little bustard” movement....

That made me laugh out loud by myself!!!

Good for you, it is not always easy to give up material things, especially if its success, but our spiritual and mental richness is much more important. It takes a strong person to make those kind of changes.

How is your hatch going Oz? I am very excited that I have a broody!!! She successfully completed day 3..sitting on approximately 10+ of my mixed babies.... I am very excited only 18 more days.... LOL

I have 4 swedish flower hen chicks out so far - day 20 - and they are sold!

I am glad you have a broody going. Its exciting stuff

when I read that there were birds called great and little bustard, I was cracking up. when I clicked and saw it was known as a farting chicken - well, something had to be said.

what shocks me is the people running this country (i'm talking from both parties folks)
they went to the best schools
but most can't do 4th grade math
how can spending 48% more than you take in be a smart thing to do?
our grandchilderen will have to work day & night to pay it all back
we will all be gone & the country will still owe trillions
