Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

No.

He knows who and what he is and in this country he is allowed to be who and what he is. If given the opportunity he would have rather been born a hen rather than rooster.

The common term here is a ladyboy.
That is really awesome; to bad the US is not as open minded in many areas. Tearing the country apart.

Glad to hear your chicks are starting to hatch!

Yes the US has so many wonderful qualities but acceptance of people's differences is not one of them.

Two chicks zipping. I will be a grandfather by morning lol.

Woo Hoo~sounds like a great start on the hatch! My sister treated me to a pedicure a few years ago,it was so wonderful. If I win the lottery-I would have one once a month, funny thing is-I don't like manicures.

Oz, you know you must post photos of your first GrandChicks! At earliest convenience and ability, we do understand the vagaries of Internet connections.

But there must be photos shared at some point. You know this.

I still have my first GrandChick (Samantha) in my flock, as well as Broody-Mom Buffy, but EggMom Rebecca is gone. And of course Carl, the original "pullet accident" himself is still Dominant Roo.

Lord, I really am a crazy chicken lady. Crap.

I had one in Bali a few years ago. They shaved a disgusting pile of skin off my feet but in the end the feeling of clean smooth feet was worth it.

Now I get one every time I come home. It costs 6 dollars for Mrs Oz and I to have our feet done and clear Polish on the three year olds toes.

Hey Oz, I just came across this App for a phone, (I know your working on one

). But it came out like 2 weeks ago, lets you set up profiles add pic's, make a shopping list, track eggs and has notes in most sections..The breed list needs some work and descriptions. But they are sharing it with us so we can write reviews on it. Might be a thread you want to check out and apply to your own app. Only 11 pages worth right now. I downloaded it through my Ipod app store for free, called Poultry pal

https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...rn-states-poultry-pal-app-for-a-chance-to-win

And heres a BBC show on chickens pretty interesting

Thanks. I will have a play with it when I get back.

We have 5 chicks hatch do far. They are from the hens my father in law took to his place. The ones we set are due Saturday.

We have been busy working on the fence. We are building a more permanent fence. There will be 40 concrete pillars 6 feet above the ground and the 3 meters in between will be hollow blocks to 2 feet then a post and rail/pailings above it. The house yard will have solid bamboo pailings to provide an nice silhouette while the "farm" area will have pailings made of the rounded cut offs from hardwood milling.

Tomorrow we have more laborers coming to help. Currently we have 2 helping Bernie. We will double that.

We start coops in the morning.

I think finding this thread when it was already 230 pages long was a bad thing for me. Now that I am caught up I get impatient waiting for the next update!!
