Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

Quote: If only I was younger! I would JUMP for new adventures! I would love to visit I have only been out of the country to Jamaca and that was an experience as a "vacationer", one I disliked until the last day we had a wonderful local plan our agenda for the day! Nothing like visiting a place and enjoying and seeing everday life, bad and good, amazing and sad. The behind the vacationer walls the market was AMAZING so much creativity and art, lovely fruits and oh their is nothing like a fresh cut pc of sugar cane to suck on! It was a good day that day, we visiited areas that were all just for normal locals and didnt have people begging to braid our hair so we could be a perfect 10!

The scuba/snork pics are awesome!

oh and I will take a coconut instead of a beer any day

What other adventures have you pondered to help feed everyone? What else does Bernie garden?

Chickens......what you do for nest bedding & for floors down there? sand and ?

Quote: NEVER can one "over did" coopage! And you will certainly put it to great use!

120 Layers, How ever will you put that many egg cartons in your golf bag?? LOL

Which reminds me, How do you obtain feed down there and is it expensive? Are you also going to try Fermenting? I can say that after 2.5 weeks my EGGS have grown to XXL and the hens and roos are eating less than HALF the feed, and you have the warmth down there it should be so easy to set up a quick and simple system! In due time......

Sheesh - talk about a little bit of paradise! You'll be supplying the entire country with eggs and meat in a couple years at the rate you're going!

Kudos for jumping in with both feet!

Here are a few pics of the underwater life in our area. Mrs Oz and I are avid scuba divers. We are delighted that our two kids possess fish like attributes.

Love the pics.. I am so jealous.. the gulf is a good day's trip away for me.. the water isn't nearly as clear.. we do have teeny little rock anemones and shrimp but that's about it..
I would love to see those feather dusters, clown fish and anemones in person!

In 100 years when they discuss the poulty revolution in the Phillippeans, there will be a giant picture of Oz :)

So cute I love toads and frogs , to bad you coudnt sneak me some tadpoles I loooove tadpoles. Anything is less then nice when you find it with your toes my favorit (not) is cat hair balls and they allways leave them right where your most likely to step and lest likely to see it in time

Those cute toads are less than cute if you fond them with your toes.

They hang out under the lights at night and eat bugs that fall

The gekos get the bugs on the ceiling .
We have geckos here too.. One has been living in the office for two years now (the cats aren't allowed in there so he is supreme overlord of the office!)

I love them anyway.. the evil toads that like to nip toes plus the geckos.
We used to have a "pet" toad that would eat mice. And your fingers if you weren't careful!

I love frogs and toads as well..

I was beginning to think I was the only victim of hairball attacks. My husband still laughs about the time one of the cats yaked up a hair ball on the side of my face while I was sound asleep one night.... it was NOT a fun way to wake up!
