What do people do with eggs that have not developed on candling at day 10?

repurpose them as feed.

They get hard boiled, mashed and fed to the chooks

needless to say, come candling day, my choocks are excited.

I brought this up a few years ago and everyone (apparently) was horrified at the thought of repurposing them.

No-one suggested feeding them back to anything, let alone the chickens. So last year I binned hundreds of eggs*, but it seemed so wasteful.

* mostly from 2 projects both of which had sterile (or not performing) cockerels. Those cockerels are now long gone..

As a routine I feed them to the birds. What a huge waste. The last batch also went to the pigs. Protein is protein.

They get boiled up in cauldron, mashed shells and all.
