    dogs are dogs - the instinct is always there.

    Hekta, our basset cross in the philippines bit a child tormenting him on the beach. He had never been tied up and never been a problem. We paid medical bills. Lesson learnt.

    I have a live trap the size recommended for squirrels & rabbits, the bigger one recommended for coons & foxes is a little pricey for me at the moment but on my list. In the meantime the only thing I've been catching is rats.

    Mary - TSC has a two trap combo pack for $25 - $30. The larger one will catch coons.

    I will have to check that out; last time I looked elsewhere those bigger ones were $50
