You can have your say any time Pig. Thats a great pic of the jeepney. In our area they aren't the wonderful stainless steel varieties.

I am crossing all my chickens toes for luck for Mrs Piglett and her NCLEX next week

These pics of jeepnies are from the interwebs but I think it is ok to repost them.

Holy cow - no chance of a seat belt there!!!

My little coturnix eggs hatched last night & this am! I couldn't beleive it I got 100% hatch rate.I put in 24 eggs on the morning of feb 12th and had 24 babies by this morning. I didn't freak over humidity this time. My humidity gauge in the incubator read 30% and my basement room read about 40%. I added no water to the bator during incubation. Wednesday night I saw a couple pipped, so I turned off the turner and put them upright in the turner trays. Thursday morning added one of those styrofoam meat trays with two sponges in it and filled it up with water. Took out the hygrometer. They started hatching that afternoon. I filled the water/sponge area twice during hatch with airline tubing. It was easy breezy clean up with no water underneath with egg shells floating. Now I'm looking for someone locally to trade these quail to for chicken hatching eggs so I can join the Easter hatch along here.
I am totally addicted to hatching eggs!

side note* we did get 8 inches of snow here on Monday which I'm sure helped with the humidity

Great strategy!!!

They have really been near the top of my list but most people want so much for eggs its ridiculous. Given the ordeal I have to go through, I want to make sure I am not wasting my money and time.

I found a person that has several colors. I will try and get india blue and java green - six eggs of each - and hope I can get a male and female from each group.

I would appreciate any advice!!
