I don't raise chickens anymore - I did a very long time ago. And I follow along this (and a few other BYC) threads. Why??
Because I can't shake the notion that in my advancing age, I'm becoming more and more in touch with the reality that I live in a truly insane world. Right now my home state is in an uproar around an upcoming college playoff football game - everything about it saddens me greatly. When I was young, college football was something we could actually get excited about - but then the various and sundry - local and national - marketing departments got aholt of it, and turned it all into insanity......all that hoo-haa around an event where grown men play a boys game. It's nuts!!

However, from a larger perspective, it's just one tiny little example of a much larger picture of pure insanity in the world.

You call yourself a "Crazy Chicken Man"..... I hold the strong opinion that you are one of the very few truly sane people in the world, Oz. Also... if all that I see around me is sanity - then I'll take "crazy" any day of the week.

So.....I come here from time to time to touch ground. It helps me to "dance through the madness". Thank you, and I wish you and yours all the very best.

Thanks again for all the support. It should hit 10K before midnight tomorrow.

I almost froze when I got back. I left my long sweat pants at cocobeach and arrived wearing, crocs shorts and a t shirt. A rainy 46F woke me up.

The flight was great as far as 12.5 hr flights go. I scored a few hors sleep but not enough to stop me passing out tonight.

I don't come out of "lurkdom" often, but wanted to say you are a true inspiration to the chicken people!

I also have a wheelbarrow with a motorbike for a tire! Thought we were the only ones! I will try to post a pic sometime soon!
