my french Bresse meat birds are hatching out
so far 1 white is out & another is zipping
also there are a couple pips.
the other 1/2 of the eggs are out in the broody cage
i guess i need to get a flashlight & go see what hides up under my broody

Well I about to start the next flock. I won an auction for a dozen Araucana eggs

, getting some BCM

and Americana eggs locally from Hershey, trying to get some Top hat chickens locally

as well and might be able to get some English orps shipped to me after this leg of the adventure gets under way

. The only thing I need to do yet is find a place for the roosters I hatch, I was hoping to find somebody that would take them with a hen or two so I could hit em up in the future for more eggs but that's proving harder than I thought

A new trip, A new set of updates

I am leaving Wednesday to go and visit mt family once again.

I am taking a limited egg run. I will just take the eggs I have coming shipped or paid for. The local temps here are not ideal for saving and storing eggs and I would prefer that I have better hatch rates before accepting peoples generosity. It weighs heavily on me when I don't hatch your eggs.

I have some Metzer Farm Pekins and Rouens, Guinea Fowl and Turkey do-overs as well as chicken and replacement coturnix.

My bator temp log shows a temp of 38C or 100.4F. I am going to drop it to 37.5C or 99.5F. That extra heat may be cause for some of my late losses.

I am working on the dehimidier modifications this weekend.

I have a few items to buy for the family and I am all set.

Amazon just delivered some sausage casings and a pump action sausage maker. I am going to turn a few scovies into Duck Sausage Salsiccia d'Aitra next week
