Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

was on a similar path???

I know what you are saying though, and if China became more like the USA is today they would vastly improve their health, and CO2 emissions.

After almost losing it at 2:30 am - our dear Bernie has a habit of letting me know we run out of supplies as we run out rather than a few days before. 50 bags od cement and 170 lengths of rebar on their way - I awoke to a txt message saying the G1 marked eggs are pipping.

G1 = guinea fowl group 1. they are 4 days early and 14 of 28 are pipped within 3 hrs of each other. No sign of the G2 pipping but on candling there are 12 viable G2. It amazes me how this can happen with a breed from one supplier while the others are normal times.
OZ my wife likes to do that too
we run out of something that we use all the time
she tells me about if after i just came from the store which is 40 min. away
guess what?
i guess we get to do without that 1 item for a couple days

Mrs Oz is more organized than anyone I know. She does not run out.

Bernie is starting to get the hang of inventory management. I have to balance him thinking that I have an open checkbook and its ok to run out.

Most people who have help in the Philippine will tell you how they have been taken advantage of by workers (including us) so the trust game is a very slow process.

We had a major power outage. 10 hours. The battery was good for 6 of them but I have had pipping guineas, 40 guinea eggs, 21 duck eggs. 5 peafowl and 5 turkey slowly dying.

Power just came on

Here is hoping
I think they will be just fine, especially as it is warm where you are.
I had 120 eggs in the bator here at all stages of development, and the power was off for 10 hours. By the time the power went on the eggs were cold.

Almost all hatched/no worst than usual
