Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

Quote: If you can stalk those guys that replace garage doors..... Scoring a wood garage door is a big one. 16 x 8 Plywood with structure holding it together. You can litterally stand them up on blocks and nail them to the uprights and make walls for a run in shelter. When I moved up to my house I brought with me Five single car doors. Those suckers are 5/8 plywood and close to eight by eight feet... I have two right now forming the windbreak wall for the chicken coop.

So we are doing stock maintenance at CocoBeach (well Mrs Oz and Dominic are)

There are another hundred birds getting Coryza vaccine.

Its worming time again, I want to give Ivermectin every six months and Valbazen every six months - on the other quarter. This will give routine bi-annual protection for lice and tapeworm as well as alternating treatment for round and other worms.

Valbazen is ridiculosly expensive in US. 500ml is $40 and 1000ml is $75

My feed supply store in Bacolod sells generic valbazen (Albendazole) for $30 per liter!!!!

Ivermectin injectable in US 50ml is $26, there 100ml is $22

I previously bought a kg of Aprolium for $30 here it is $18 for 220g

Maybe I need to set up an online pharmacy for animals. The vicodin and viagra sites make a killing

As a person who pulls a horse trailer occasionally..... when backing follow your trailer Use your mirrors.... Know whats behind you first. And surprisingly the longer the trailer the more forgiving...

My trailer can hold 3500 lbs of horses and enough hay to take for a road trip.... 15000 worth of axles.

I WANT a sixteen foot flatbed though... More useful for my purposes.... Hauling garbage, Bringing home pipe corral and building supplies.... The occasional telephone pole or garage door... You know ""stuff""....

P.G. you need something like this 16' car trailer that i bought from a friend last year
it has two 3500# axles & it came with a pair of 2' high sides that can be removed in 30 seconds
here it is hauling my wife's new to her car
it weighs about 2000 lbs & pulls like a dream

i also have a 5x8 trailer that i purchesed last year unfinished (i'm scrapping all 4 of my 30 year old junk trailers)

i have a good supply of 2" square stock & 1/8th" plate

the plan is to weld on some 4' sides & a swing to the side rear "barn door"

Boy Howdy,

A body could think we were breedin' trailers here........

How 'bout them chickens, oz?
trailers can also be great for hauling chickens

i only wish i had a lite weight one to pull behind my small car

it would be great for the weekly chicken swaps i go to in season
