Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

It seemed like the significant other was a large role in Bernie leaving and this is not entirely out of the picture

Bernie will see his family every weekend. Working away is common but being able to go home is huge. Let's hope it's enough.

Rollito is promising. We hope his wife is up to the challenge.

Having two guys here makes the work not overwhelming. The wife has an overall easy job when we are not around. We just need a few weeks of stability.

Bernie as a helper knows what the job is so I feel more comfortable with him than the sight unseen Mrs Rollito

Phage. You always ask the important questions and the answer is no. Bernie is OK with pigs. So is Rollito so unless we have another week like last week we should be OK.

We are offering to pay for catholic school for Rolito' daughter as an enticement. Hopefully the wife is not a princess. We meet her in two hours.

I hope it went well mate.

I might add, I love seeing you mum pop in from time to time, and seeing you call her 'mum' I guess it's the small things that remind you of your roots.

Speaking of home, footy finals are in, 3 weeks until grand final.

i just can't understand some people

i would think that people would be beating a path to your door OZ

1st off clearly people working for you will not be skipping any meals (not with all those chickens)

2nd you offer to kick in extras like schooling & profit sharing (which you don't have to do, but you wish to)

yet you still have these "clowns" running off at the drop of a hat

i guess Forest Gump's momma had it rite .............."Stupid is as stupid does"

good night all

Lots of activity in the Oz household.

My sister, who has lived in the USA relocated with her family today back to Oz. It has given me a major luck in the gut as although I did not see them much I always new they we across town. It's great for them though as Oz is a great place for kids.

Bernie arrived. It feels good to have him here. He is sorting out his quarters and getting organized.

We went though a few new ground rules and update him on the animals.

This afternoon we will get down to business

Yeah I like it when Mum passes by. She is the consummate optimist.

She will always be mum not mom.

I still have baths. I don't take them anywhere. For the life of me I can't understand how a main course can be an entree. I do however use elevators but get them from the 1st floor.

Aye those seppos talk funny

I've got my mongrel English, an entrée is a starter for me, but I do take baths (not that often though). I use lifts too, but only when being pulled up a mountain wearing skis. Our elevators start from the first floor too, unless there's a basement or other underground floors.

How is Rolito's wife liking the place, Oz?
