Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

thanks phage

Mrs Oz has a cousin that owns a gas station in our municipality. the manager of the has station, Janet, is a recipient of an educational grant through the family and is not only very grateful but well trusted. Lillian is a relative of hers.

Janet came on the interview and still texts is every day.

having a local couple has its goods and bads.

Lillian is very nice but not the fastest. she gets distracted and forgets things. her cooking is adequate only. yesterday she was sent off to market day in Cauayan Poblacion, her home town that's 3 km away. it took her 3.5 hours to buy 3 bags of vegetables. she should have been back in an hour but Lillian was delayed by chatting with relatives.

her keenness however, and her husband's ability offset the frustration and I am sure we can tighten her time management

we had to talk to Lillian today. she went to poblacion to pay the electricity bill and buy bananas. 2.5 hours later I had cooked lunch as she got back. Lorenzo passes out by 1pm and had not had lunch so I had to scramble.

she is meticulous but slow. a person should be able to prepare 3 meals, keep a house clean and iron clothes for four in a 9 hour day spread over 13 hours.

I have no concern about her getting the work done, she just needs to work on time management

I got over my fears and just checked our toilet light that failed a few months ago. Usually when I start playing with electricity it ends with my arm going numb, but I managed without incidents this time. I came to the conclusion that the light fixture is bust, since I'm getting power all the way to it, and changing the fluorescent bulb didn't help. I'll need to take a trip to the store and complain about it some day, it's only been in use for a few months before it failed.
