Mrs Oz is at the farm.
I hope to get a few pictures today.
On the employment front, Chris'replacement started today. Chris did not want to provide a report on his daily work. Bloody amazing. Literacy is a big issue. He left after he got paid saying his daughter was sick. 4 days later he said he wont be coming back. All because he did not want to say what he does during the day. I am at a loss for words.
New guy is OK with it.We have a simple check of list for him. 2 to a page. The version he has is in their native language. Inday has gone over it with him.
yes or no, a few numbers and give to dodong to photograph and upload. It cant get much simpler.
On the ag tech front
We have three applicants - all female. One is from the hill country Mindanao - the southern most island. We have had good experience with their work ethic. She is 28.. The second is from the other side of the island. She has less experience and is younger at 21. The third is from just north of bacolod. She also is early 20s.
I have been communicating in English with them and getting good responses. I am arranging skype interviews during the week. We will bring the finalists in for a meeting at the farm when I get there. The unsuccessful candidate will get their fare home. If the girl from Mindanao gets the job, she will get a 4 day weekend every 8 weeks to go home if she wants to.
I am starting a new consulting job this week. I have been ok'd for a week to go to the Phils to attend our boy;s 4th birthday.
On the hunt for wyandotte eggs.
I just got a pic from Inday
Maybe we will get some eggs soon
I have been doing interim work for a bit now.So Oz, is this a new job for you or are you consulting around your other job?
I'm working part-time from home now reviewing surgical charts for Peds NSQIP. I like it, and it keeps some of my skills up. Much less stress than working in Hospital Quality, and I love the flexibility!
Had the bright idea of putting fertile eggs under my broody; bought four OE eggs, two made it to the end, and one was killed during hatch. The other egg I popped in the incubator and I now have a "Solo" chick. Can't find any day-olds around here to keep her company - but I'll keep looking. (Tried to put this one back underneath the broody early this morning and she freaked out and attacked it.)
Here's Solo:
So glad you get to be there for your son's birthday! Good luck on the interviews and on your hunt for Wyandotte eggs.
