He's doing a good job! Recycled materials make the coolest coop. Somebody used parts of a 7-11 store! Another used Santa's Castle from the mall. Have him lay some wire across the top bed. he could then put on a tin or plywood roof on the top rails and have plenty of ventilation with the gap between the wire and roof.

I love it. I am using the signs a local politician left in my yard (corrugated plastic) as the bottom of my new guinea pig cages. I love re-purposing stuff.

It's funny how we can see stuff and think, "I bet that would make a great coop" where other people would see junk. That's pretty cool. Will you show us pics of the finished product?

LOL. Thanks! As for it lasting in the rain, the bunk bed was outside when we moved in. It has been in the rain since August of last year and has no rust. I don't know how long it will last, but it will work for awhile! He is going to put wheel on one side, so that it doesn't have to be dragged. He got the door on yesterday, too. But it was too dark to take pictures by the time he stopped working on it. We had a regular "animal home building" frenzy yesterday. He worked on the coop, while I worked on the rabbit hutch! Haha.

CoyoteMagic-He is going to put a rounded roo on it, and put the nesting boxes on the top bunk with a ramp leading up. I'm not sure how this will work... He is genius at making things work out in unusual ways.
