Giant breeds

I've delved into the land of the giants. Jersey giants, and light,dark brahmas. The pullets are all hatchery stock. Mt healthy to be exact. But the brood cock is breeder stock from lines said to throw birds in the 20+ lb range even up to 30 lbs.

Question: will a typical 12"x12" nest box suffice or do the hens need bigger?

I've had both Jersey Giants (blacks) and Light Brahmas and I would recommend a little larger nest box for them. 18" X 18" X 18" should work nicely.

The dark brahma biddies are huge. Not pleasing to the eye but they are big'uns .
