Tammy if you need Big Daddy for this project, I can certainly try to help you out if you dont have a black male to cross over lavender hens

He could just spend some time down in WV for a month or two.

Thanks for your interest everybody! I will get the list updated this evening. Also, it will be a plus to already have some good quality blacks to breed them back to in the future to improve their conformation. I'll update the first post.

The Rooster over these is a Lavender Orpington. The hens are Black Cochins. The goal is to create a Lavender LF Cochin using the Lavender gene provided by the rooster. It will take time and patience, but it can be done.

I have some nice big black hens, and I'm re-arranging that coop to be all cochins again. I'll be ready in a couple weeks to use the bator (I hope). Maybe just to be a small part of the project would be fun

I have blacks as well but they are to small right now to breed but by the time your eggs are ready they will be too. They came from the same breeder as my SQ blue so I am sure they will be just as beautiful. I also forgot to add I have 2 incubators right now and am ordering 2 more next week So I will have plenty of room to hatch. here is a picture of their daddy
