Sometimes they look so nice, and then the door breaks or it isn't snake proof.

Greenhouses are great for coops, especially in winter if you keep the greenhouse panels in.
First one is still together, just weather worn.

Not sure what you mean by panels?

I was thinking of one of the paneled ones and sometimes people replace the panels.
but those keep chickens warm in winter which is really nice.
I'm not fancy when it comes to housing the birds in winter. I just throw straw down, offer corn here, & there. That's pretty much it, besides defrosting waterers, & usual feeding.

For the hoops, I'll cover in chicken wire, a vinyl, & build a gate. Put a couple roosts, & nesting boxes too.

I mix corn with the scratch, give about 50 % more feed and carry a bucket of hot water down every morning. I'm not one to be very extra with chicken care in the winter.
I don't really feed scratch, I do only as a treat like it's supposed to be used.

I also use corn as a treat, weekly.

I feed high protein feed, 20% Nutrena Naturewise All Flock Pellets, with 22% Meat bird feed mixed occasionally.
