Does This Sound Like A Good Idea Silkie Lovers?

I'll take pictures of the chicks once I start breeding hatching. I'll be setting up the breeding pen next month when the snow starts melting away.

Be sure to have a plan on how to select birds for mating, before you start. Odds are you will quickly find yourself breeding pairs where neither has the full complement of traits you want in final product.
I do have a plan on who I'm going select for breeding. Only two Brahmas are bigger then the other two, I also have the biggest Silkie Cockerel, & rooster that will be used.

Question. I have a really good sized Orpington cross Cockerel who's larger then my Project Orpington rooster, should I add him for those larger genes, or do you think he has hidden genes that'll hinder my Project Giant Silkies size?
I don't have updated pictures of him.

He inherited his grandfather's genes, who was a pure Orpington, & was huge.
