This project is designed to create giant fluffy chickens.

Who doesn't love Silkies, & wish they had some the size of Brahmas?

I have both Silkies, & Brahmas, color patterns isn't a concern until Silkie feathering, 5 toes, & black skin are produced.

I'll only be using my largest Silkie cockerels/roosters to breed with my Brahmas.

Pictures of my large Silkie cockerels.

First Boy is next to a Bantam Silkie cockerel for size comparison.Second Boy next to a 5 gallon Bucket. Here's a picture of my Brahmas.
JM HATCHERY of Pennsylvania hatches about 2,000 of the European style full sized silkies every week, Raised by farms in New York state, they shipped to NYC to supply the Chinese Restaurant and Wet Markets. These birds grow quickly to broiler size. Have black skin and huge black pointed combs.

My over active sillkie roo breed with everything that moved. His offspring were larger then he was and larger then the mothers. The Ameraucana/silkie cross is a gorgous gold bird with an eagle look.

I had difficulty hatching them in high altitude Wyoming, so moved on, but I highly recommend them for anyone
