This will be my first time with turkeys.
I don't think I want 25-35 lbs turkeys. But why are the midgets so much more money to get day olds?

The Midgets are a heritage breed. The BBW's are the cornish cross of turkeys.

midgets are the best tasting breed of turkey, according to a taste test. They are also able to reproduce on their own so they have added value that way. I would say start out with the midgets and if they end up too small for your preference, go with a bigger bird next time.
